We moved the chrysalids into the treehouse today. They should turn into butterflies in 7-10 days.

Andrew's 3rd Birthday Party
We had Andrew's 3rd birthday party today, his actual birthday is coming up on Thursday but the following weekend is Labor Day so we decided to have the party now.
He's growing up so fast, it's hard to believe that my baby is almost 3.
He got such big boy gifts too,

Butterfly Treehouse update #2
The caterpillars are halfway through their transformation into chrysalids. Tomorrow or the next day we'll move them from their jar into the mesh house, and within a few days they should turn into butterflies.
They are hanging from the top of the jar now. And it looks like the hard chrysalis shell is almost formed around each of them.
I'm not sure why I can't get decent closeup shots with my camera, I'm still learning all the settings and workings of it.

The most epic awesomeness of all-time
I've been waiting six months for this night, six long months.
Jack Johnson, real life, right in front of me, playing all of my most favorite songs ever.
I'm not even sure I could put to words what this experience was like for me.
My friends Maria and Justin went along with me, we got there early enough to get good seats, all the super close ones were standing room only, on concrete, we decided we'd rather sit in the grass and not fight the crowds. Still, the closer it got to Jack's performance, the more my personal space was encroached on. It was still such a rad night.
Jack is just amazing, and so great live. He played with the band first and then came back solo for an encore. I was mesmerized, it felt like he was only up there for 10 minutes but he actually played for about 2 hours.
I'm hooked. I can't wait to see him play again, I'm guessing it will be at least 2 more years until he tours again - I think his last tour before this was 2005.
I got pictures, they aren't very good because it was dark and the flash reacts badly with all the stage lights, but they're pictures nonetheless.

This was seriously the most amazing night. I love Jack Johnson, this was like a dream come true for me to get to see him play live. I could gush on and on and on and on and on, on and on and on and on and on ;)

Our day at the fair
Cor's grandparents invited us to go to the Evergreen State Fair with them today, so off we went. We spent 5.5 hours there, Corey opted to not get a bracelet leaving me to go on every single spinny, twisty, turny ride there was. Multiple times. My stomach is still in knots!
It was an amazingly fun day. Andrew got to ride the rides this year (he was 1.5 inches too short last year) and AJ went on some great big rides too. They got to spend some time with their grandparents and their cousins, see some animals and exhibits, eat some fair food, and just have a great day.
Here's the pictures:

Corey and Andrew headed over to kiddie land while AJ and I went on a fun roller coaster that Andrew was too short for.
