Andrew's first day of school

Wednesday was Andrew's first day of school, and he had so much fun. I think he played in every station in the room at least twice.

Corey and I both went with him and stayed the whole time, I'll probably stay with him for awhile until I know he's comfortable there by himself.

It's a big deal for him, because he's dropped his big brother off there every day for the last 2 years, and hasn't been able to play since he wasn't enrolled (insurance reasons), so now he's finally able to touch and play with all the things he's wanted to for so long.

Before School

Picking flowers on the way back from dropping AJ off

We got to the school and he couldn't wait, he ran all the way to the door

Washing his hands first thing

He loves having a drinking fountain he can go to anytime he wants

Hammering golf tees in to styrofoam

Getting his backpack so he could have snack (he brings his own because of his food allergies)

Having a tea party

Making a phone call

Having snack

Creating some art

Corey got bored and decided to entertain himself

Playdough

More art

Being a Jack in the Box

Playing in the sand

Riding a trike

The pictures stop abruptly here because he decided to go play with bubbles, and one of the other children got a little too exuberant with his bubble wand and accidentally flung a gob of soap into Andrew's eyes. We had to take him home and rinse his eyes, there was so much soap his crying was making bubbles pour out of his eyes.

He missed school on Thursday also because he had a cough, so Tuesday is the next day he'll go back. He's really excited, he keeps talking about it.

Wish Jars

Today the boys and I made wish jars (well, we used shoe boxes instead of jars).

This way I can keep track of things they'd like to do, or like to have, and when people ask me for gift ideas I won't stutter unintelligibly trying to come up with answers.

Andrew's bee stings

Andrew got stung by bees for the first time on Thursday.

Corey took him and AJ and a neighbor kid exploring in the woods and they stepped on a bees nest.

He got stung twice, once on his hand and once on his back.

Corey and the neighbor kid each got stung once, AJ didn't get stung at all!

We're so lucky Andrew isn't allergic to bee stings, they hardly even swelled.

Apples?

So apparently we have an apple tree in our front yard. I've never noticed fruit on it before, but it's right outside AJ's window and it's got something going on with it.

I think they are apples

Some random pictures from the last few days

I haven't posted in awhile, we haven't done much since school has started.

I love this picture of Corey and AJ, it was taken when we picked him up at school last week.

Shooting hoops

Andrew was more interested in the clover

But he liked shooting hoops once he was a little closer to the net
