So just a few days after the hatchet job he did on Andrew's hair, apparently AJ decided he needed to butcher his own hair as well - less than a week before he was due to be the ring bearer in his aunt's wedding.
We had no choice but to shave his head. We found that Corey had left his clippers out, and AJ found them on our bathroom counter. Still not sure why he decided to clip his hair, luckily he wasn't hurt - and his hair grows fast.

Andrew's "first" haircut
Since AJ chopped up Andrew's hair, I took him to the salon this morning to get it all evened out.
We got there and he walked right in and climbed up into the chair like it was nothing new.
At first he sat in the chair very quietly while she sprayed his head with water, and then started cutting - several people commented on how quiet and still he was, it was quite odd, he's rarely ever quiet or subdued.
After about 5 minutes, he stretched his arms out and screamed "Mooommmmyyy" and started bawling, completely out of the blue. No nicks anywhere to be found, he wasn't hurt, just scared. Apparently it finally sunk in what was happening.
So he sat in my lap the rest of the appointment and laid his head on my chest.
The result: Andrew looks like a big boy now, my small baby is gone forever. I'll get used to it, eventually I suppose.

I'm sad and angry
Today I went shopping and out to lunch with my mom - left the boys with Corey - which makes it that much worse.
Sometime during the day, AJ cut Andrew's hair on one side of his head.
I want to cry, I want to throw up. That was his last little bit of babyness, his uncut baby hair, and it's been taken away.
Maybe I'm being extra emotional because I've recently stopped nursing him (1 week now!), but I'm so sad about this.
It's hard to see because he's blonde and his hair is babyfine, but here's the damage
This is what the other side of his head looks like, for comparison.
