This weekend is Lake Steven's annual Aquafest celebration. It's a little town festival with booths and carnival rides and what not. We skipped it this year, but headed down to the lake to watch the fireworks tonight after it got dark.
BTW, fireworks are next to impossible to photograph!
My boys, headed home for bed.

4th of July
The 4th of July is kind of a big deal around here - for example, this year, there were fireworks being set off in our cul de sac from 1pm until 11:30pm. Last year it was more like 1pm until 1am.
It's nice being part of a community that does things together, I like to think of our cul de sac as a little community - several neighbors from around the corner also joined us this year.
It was a great night, fantastic show - crappy pictures. I didn't realize at first that my flash needed to be off, and by the time I figured it out Andrew was bored and wanted me to go in with him - specifically me, only I would do.
Also, it was smokey so the earlier pictures are kind of fuzzy due to that.
But here's the best of the bunch.
